An Alpine Jaunt – Gerlospass

After a view day relaxing in Zillertal (county Tirol) we decidet to travel to the city of Salzburg to spend some time in this beautiful town. As I have been very often in Salzburg and travelled the usual way via Germany, we made the decision to use the longer way over the Gerlospass and further through the Pinzgau. This road is very beautiful albeit sometimes very narrow but if time doesn’t count it is the best solution.

Vacation in Austria

We thought we would call in to see a few of our friends in continental Europe while we are there and also have our Land-cruiser with  us. Unfortunately very little snow at the moment but we still have a good time. On the way to upper Austria we stopped to see the lovely view near the Krimmler Waterfalls which are located in the county of Salzburg.

From the same spot, there is a great view in to the Pinzgau in the county of Salzburg.

We moved on and travelled into the Salzkammergut which is located on the Salzburg/ upper Austria region where we have visited our good friend Leopold who lives nearby, the lakes and is a owner of a 120 series Land Cruiser.
